Pook's Road
Pook's Road
Released in 2001, this was Chuck’s first solo effort. Dense arrangements and passionate impressionistic landscapes and portraits. A lot of pent up years of band playing. Standout tracks are “She’s Moving On” and “Calling You.”
Chuck spent many years in the shadow of other writers as a Bassist for Lisa Hayes, The Violets and most recently Gingersol, all the while writing songs constantly. Buying a decent acoustic guitar and starting as a solo artist in 1995 in Portland Oregon, he took all opportunities to play out, while maintaining a full schedule as a bandmember. Band work took him to Nashville, Tennessee for a couple of years, then full circle back to his hometown of Los Angeles.
